The biggest consumer technology show, the CES, started last Tuesday. Our CEO, Christian, is in Las Vegas and thrilled about all the wearables at the tradeshow. More than 3,200 exhibitors came to the CES 2014, and wearables are everywhere. A slew of wearable devices and applications were announced during the first few days of CES, especially smartwatches and fitness trackers. Here are some highlights from the show:
Pebble Steel – a sleek and stylish smartwatch
Mercedes-Benz developed an app with various features for Pebble
The Toq, released by Qualcom in 2013 is a really neat smartwatch with an always on display
Casio’s Sports Gear tracks your workout and has a battery life of 2 years
Scoshe enters the wearables market with the heart rate monitor and music controller RythmSmart
The Neptun Pine is big – but has a lot of features
A smartwatch for adventurers – the RIBX FB1 is pretty sturdy, but big compared to Pebble
Samsung seems to think that football will save the planet (and not the american version either)
Sony announced Core a chip for actiity tracking and more – for now only available in a smartband
